Earth Friendly Educational Giveaway!

I have been thinking a lot recently about the importance of educating young ones about climate change, global warming, and the environmental crisis. As a teacher, I try to emphasize good habits in my classroom, like saving electricity, recycling, and not wasting food. However, with so many great eco-friendly friendly products out there I think it’s time to take it a step further.

With this in mind I created a giveaway basket with an assortment of items to teach young ones to care for the future of our planet in fun and creative ways!

Here’s a peek at what’s inside:

Hello Treehouse Goods Recycled Hangers

The idea for a giveaway came to me when the creator of Hello Treehouse Goods reached out to me to collaborate. They make baby and children’s hangers that are 100% recycled and recyclable and made locally in Raleigh. Because they are made with recycled paperboard you can also customize and decorate them! What a fun activity for a baby shower or to do with your child! You can write on with sharpies or other art materials!

Two board books by Little Green Books

I included two adorable books to read with your child. Don’t Throw That Away! is a lift-the-flap book all about recycling and reusing! It has some very cute and creative ideas for reusing old items. This is Our World is an interactive story about caring for our Earth by reducing pollution, recycling and more. The book includes nine double-sided puzzles! The best thing about these books is that they are made from 100% recycled materials, so you can practice what you preach!

Box of 10 Eco Stars by Crazy Crayons

This box includes 10 bright colored star shaped crayons by Crazy Crayons and made from crayons collected by the National Crayon Recycle Program. Crayons and packaging are made in the USA using recyclable and non-toxic materials. The star shape make the crayons easy to grip and fun to color with! The National Crayon Recycle Program also employs people with developmental disabilities, creating a positive impact both socially and environmentally.

Life on Earth Memory and Matching Game by EeBoo

I also included this beautiful hand illustrated memory and matching game that celebrates the beautiful imagery of our Earth. This game is a great way to introduce your child into the diverse life on our planet. The game is made with 90% recycled graybeard and vegetable based inks. I also loved that is a woman owned company and is certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE).
